Johnwill Willie is a Nigerian Mathematician and educator. He had worked with
various educational and statistical consulting firms prior to his admission into
the LHO.
Willie holds special interests in helping children with Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADD/ADHD) and has been a member of board of several organizations that cater for such.
Born on April 4, 1986 in Borokiri, Port Harcourt City, Southern Nigerian; he is the sixth of seven children born to Johnson Willie (a retired Shell contractor) and Wariboko Willie (a Naval officer). Willie received his primary education at Nigerian Navy Primary school, and his Secondary education at Government Secondary School, Port Harcourt. In the following years, he lost both parents at different times to grave illnesses. This took a toll on his psyche for a period of time and compelled him to suspend his studies. After his recovery, he caught up with schooling and completed his degree course in education (Mathematics/Statistics major) at the Ignatus Ajuru University of Education, Port Harcourt.
In his earlier years Willie had been involved with church music, learning how to play the bass guitar, trumpet and saxophone. Overtime he developed a peculiar deep voice and started to man classical mass choirs, often as the only bass equivalent. He was later elected to the role of music director in his affiliate diocese.
Soon he delved into Philosophy, asking several 'big questions' that pertain to humanity. Willie had been concerned with such subjects as death, the origin and purpose of life, and human separation. In his quest for viable knowledge, he exhausted various religious books and philosophical schools of thought. He was later invited by his friend, Kingsley Manyo, to a public lecture by Nelson Ichrene on 'The Power of Self Education'. Astonished by Nelson's oration, they met after the sessions and began to be on congenial terms. Soon, they discovered themselves to be of one mind; and alongside others, scheduled a brainstorming session, which saw to the establishment of the LHO.
